Star Wars

Dash Rendar is a freelance smuggler and mercenary in the Star Wars expanded universe, operating during the Galactic Civil War. While not a Force-sensitive Jedi, he possesses piloting skills nearly on par with Han Solo and a similar roguish charm. Rendar often finds himself involved in events of galactic significance, though he typically prioritizes profit and self-preservation.

His first appearance was in the multimedia project Shadows of the Empire, a storyline intended to fill the gap between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. He piloted the modified Corellian freighter, the Outrider, known for its distinctive shape and powerful weaponry.

In Shadows of the Empire, Rendar becomes involved with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and other members of the Rebel Alliance, assisting them in their fight against the Galactic Empire and the criminal organization Black Sun. While initially motivated by financial gain, Rendar ultimately demonstrates a strong sense of loyalty and courage.
